I bought the book and thought "it's not going to be that great" but when I got through it, it wasnt that bad. It's not as good as a Jane Austen novel, but it is definitely a good read.
I also read some reviews on some of the "sequel"...

idontlikeamygdalas asked: you should try watching "lost in austen." it's a four episode miniseries where the protagonist, amanda price, trades places with elizabeth bennet. they make a complete sham of the pride and prejudice plot line, but it is absolutely hilarious.
